(Added 6/24/14) Asperger's Association of New England

* Family Grant - Families living in the New England area and needing funds that directly improve the life of a child with asperger syndrome or related disorder. Income requirements.

* Rainy Day Fund for Adults - Help in a crisis situation of an adult with asperger syndrome over the age of 18.

(Added 6/24/14) Edwin Phillips Foundation

The Foundation’s focus is on the needs of mentally and physically handicapped children. The intent is that the children will be able to remain in their own homes. Geographically, the Trustees are directed to benefit handicapped children (up to the age of 22) in the town of Marshfield, Massachusetts and children in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Deadline to apply is April 1st and October 1st.

Must be under the age of 21 and live in Massachusetts.

(Added 6/24/14) The Massachusetts Assistive Technology Loan Program

The Massachusetts Assistive Technology Loan (MA AT Loan) Program offers Massachusetts residents with disabilities and their families low-interest cash loans they can use to purchase assistive technology, devices and services that will increase their independence. The program also loans low-cost assistive devices through its Long-Term Device Loan Program.

Alliant Helps

Helps ease the financial burden of families facing serious illness, including reimbursements for travel expenses for hospital and doctor visits, prescriptions, durable medical equipment, home

supplies, co-payments and home services.

Council Empowerment Funds Program

The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council provides funds for individuals who are legal residents of Massachusetts with developmental disabilities and/or a family member or guardian to attend conferences or other events in Massachusetts or another state. Applications must be received and approved before the event. One event per family for up to a maximum of $500.

The Butterfly Fund

Provides direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means. Must be receiving treatment at Dana-Farber/Children's Cancer Center in Boston, MA.

The Decibels Foundation

Collaborating with The Caroline Bass Fund there are many equipment loaning programs available.

Joey's Fund Family Grant Program

Joey's Fund Family Grant Program accepts grant applications from families in New England (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine) that are in need of financial assistance for their family member(s) with autism. Families can apply for up to $3,000 through the program.
