(Added 1/31/2015) Canucks Autism Network
The Canucks Autism Network offers the Participant Membership Program to families affected by autism in BC for an annual fee of $25/ASD individual. Once members, families can access all programs at no additional cost thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters.
The 2015 March Break Reimbursement Fund
Up to $350 available to Ontario families who either retain the services of a one-to-one support worker or pay for a March Break camp/program for their child/youth with ASD. Deadline to apply is January 16, 2015.
Children's Respite Flexible Fund
The purpose of the Children's Respite Flexible Fund is to help caregivers get the flexible and individualized support their family needs in order for them to take intervals of time off from their care-giving duties. Application for 2015 will become available in January.
Dream Weavers Bursary
Dream Weavers believes that all families should have equal access to programs & services. They recognize that not all families can afford to pay for this much needed programming in an environment where funding is so limited.
Helping Adults with Autism and Developmental Disabilities
Haadd bursaries and grants are meant to help adults (age 18 and over) on the autism spectrum. Priority is given to those whose homes, or their family homes, are in the Greater Toronto Area.
Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity
Assists children who are seriously ill or have a permanent disability under the age of 21 and are permanent residents of Ontario or Landed Immigrant status.
Make-A-Wish Canada
Grants wishes for children between the ages of 3 and 17 years old that have a life threatening medical condition that is currently in the life threatening stage.
Passport Program
Enables individuals with developmental disability to participate in programs aimed at increasing their participation in the community and promotes inclusion. Young adults 18 years of age and older are eligible.
President's Choice Children's Charity
President’s Choice® Children’s Charity (PCCC) is dedicated to helping children who are physically or developmentally disabled. They aim to remove some of the obstacles that make everyday living extremely difficult and make it easier for the child or family to cope with the disability. They provide direct financial assistance in the purchase of mobility equipment, wheelchair accessible modifications, physical therapy and more. Must be 18 years old or younger and have a household income of less than $70,000.
Tender Wishes Foundation
A qualified medical practitioner confirms that a child under the age of 19 has a life threatening condition. Family must live in the Regional Municipality of Niagara and never had a wish granted by any other wish granting organization.
