42nd week of 2014---Tennessee Funding Sources

Bert's Big Adventure

Helps children ages 5 to 12 years old and have been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness, or is physically challenged. Without the help of Bert’s Big Adventure, the family does not have the financial means available to afford a trip to Walt Disney World. Must live in the Nashville area. East Tennessee Foundation www.easttennesseefoundation.org East Tennessee Foundation offers scholarship, grant and loan opportunities to students and nonprofit organizations throughout our 25-county service area.

LifeLine Equipment Exchange

Often families and even companies, churches, schools, and organizations find themselves with an abundance of durable medical, therapy, or other items for which they no longer have a use. We love being able to pass on items that will benefit other families who may have limited or no insurance coverage or financial access to things they need. Items are available in Chattanooga County primarily.

Sports 4 All Foundation www.s4af.org Equipment Endowment Program provides sporting equipment, gear and clothing to individuals with disabilities and organizations serving people with disabilities who are competing in an organized sporting event or sports related activity. Tennessee Technology Access Center www.tacnashville.org Promote the independence and participation of individuals of all ages with disabilities in school, work, play and everyday activities through their use of assistive technology. United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee www.ucpmidtn.org United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee administers several different funds that are non-disability specific, and are available to people with disabilities throughout the state of Tennessee.
